Red will be big news this year. A colour that profoundly is not used much in weddings, even though it is synonymous with romance. It is so rich, so opulent and not only does it look stunningly elegant on its own, but it really adds an edge when mixed with other bright colours. Shown here with pink but you will see it mixed with pink, orange and yellow - referred to as the sunset palette. Go on be bold this year!!

2. Drapery
Drapery is key for 2025. Have I said this already? Yes I've been banging on about it for sometime. Think drapery on ceilings on backdrops & on tables. You can do it more subtly by layering fabrics on tables. Texture is also big. Think about your home. we love different materials on our throws & cushions, layering fabrics on our beds, so why shouldn't the wedding table be any different.
Why add drapery? On your ceiling it provides a real cosy lux look particularly if you incorporate fairy lights. In your backdrop it provides a more luxurious & dramatic look. Whilst layering on your table provides much more interest and is sooo romantic and also allows you to add different depths of colour.

3. Mochaliscious
Mocha mousse has been named the Pantone colour of the year. So expect to see this colour flood Instagram. Whilst neutrals have always been popular for weddings. This slightly darker shade dials up the warmth and will be a perfect choice for Autumn weddings. The colour can be added quite subtly layering with fabrics in a lighter shade and added in arrangements with lighter florals. But can also be used quite boldly with other darker shades like rust and teal to really push the colour palette.

4. Vintage is back
As lace has seen a surgence in wedding dress styling. We will see an increase in more of a vintage style decor. Bows are big, mix with pearls and lace for ultimate vintage elegance. Add pearled fabrics, bows to candles and vintage style glassware to really nail the look.

The colour blue feels like such a perfect vintage colour palette. This no longer needs to be a hidden tradition as bridal designs start to introduce the colour from full on blue gowns to blue floral detailing.
Blue matches really well into the timeless elegance trend and really makes for a stunning table setting.

5. Table layouts

Whilst caterpillar wedding tables look stunning and will be huge in 2025, they may not be right for your venue due to the size of the room. So try this layout. We will be seeing a mix of rounds and banquet tables more and more as couples tire of the standard round table and top table layout. This gives a modern twist. And suits all tastes... those who love rounds and those who love banquet style! When I showcase these different layouts everyone has a favourite, many thinking banquet tables are not as sociable as rounds. Which personally I feel they are the same. No you won't talk to the person at the other end of the banquet table, but these tables often seat 20 people which a round table normally seats 8. So looking at numbers you can probably talk to the 6 surrounding guests on a banquet table. So don't let that put you off!
We hope you have enjoyed learning about these trends. But please remember it is your wedding. Although trends can inspire us and give us ideas.
